Performance poet Laura Taylor returns to London for another whistle-stop tour, bringing her new collection 'Fault Lines' (published by Flapjack Press) with her.
Described as "one of the country's finest poets, both on the page and on the stage" (Attila the Stockbroker) and "gritty, mesmerising - a one-woman bundle of energy" (Rebellion Festival), she will be supported by some of the most fierce, funny, clever and stand-out voices she has come across on her travels.
As The Big J, Janine Booth was part of the ranting poetry movement in the 1980s, doing more than 100 gigs before giving it up at the end of the decade. In 2014, she took up the muse again, and is now a performing angry middle-aged woman poet.
Hailing from Liverpool, Gerry Clarkson (aka Guerrilla Lips) is a grass roots poet with a global perspective, who delivers his bullets of searing truth with a brutal and beautiful honesty.
Admission is pay-as-you-feel. This means free entry, and the hat will be passed around for folk to pay as they see fit.
There are a very limited amount of open mic spots available. To book a spot, please email laura_w_taylor@hotmail.com.
