GUEST POET:
Andy Armitage: Andy's first poetry chapbook ‘Letters to a First Love from the Future’ was released by Half Moon Books on 21 July 2018. He has a PhD in English and has published poetry in Acumen, Dream Catcher, Strix, Riggwelter, The High Window, and Algebra of Owls. In 2017, he won 1st place in the Leeds Museums Poetry Competition and this year he was Highly Commended in the York Mix/York Literature Festival Poetry Competition.
GUEST SINGER/SONGWRITER
Matthew Sturgess, who often performs solo or fronting the band 'The Silver Reserve', is an Otley-based performer who plays delicate, sparse music on a classical guitar with songs about (claims of) out-of-body experiences, monogamy, small-town community Facebook pages and much more. Occasionally, Matthew introduces a loop/delay pedal to create dense, layered atmospherics. It's music that doesn't rush and takes its sweet, sad time to unfurl and sneak under the skin.
