Come and share your rhymes and your lines with some poetry good times! We have Special Guests and plenty of Open Mic spots, it's a safe space for newcomers to have a go and a great platform for established poets to share their work. Anyone could be chosen as "Poet of the Month", - it's the poet our judges want to see and hear more from, and the winner gets their photo on the website and their own feature slot at the next event.
Temperance is Leamington's coolest and newest Art Cafe and Performance Venue, they always have loads of stuff going on. It's on Bath Street, just down past the Parish Church and there's plenty of parking nearby. Scriptstuff Poetry is there on the last Wednesday of every month.

Book the date in your diary everyone, it's easy to remember, it's Halloween! But there's nothing scary about Scriptstuff Poetry on Wednesday October 31st, in fact quite the opposite! For starters we will be entertained by former Scriptstuff Poet of the Month Mitch Emmsy with her special feature set, there are loads of Open Mic spots available on the night for regulars and newcomers alike, and we've got a sensational Special Guest in the shape of the one and only Jess Green!
"Somehow Jess manages to be hard-hitting in a way that's so subtle you don't realise until the bruises come up" - Scroobius Pip.
Jess has caused a sensation this year with her hugely acclaimed spoken word show "A Self Help Guide to Being in Love with Jeremy Corbyn" not to mention writing a successful play, being on the radio and doing all sorts of other exciting things like only going and winning the national BBC slam competition! We are thrilled to bring her to Leamington and really expect a packed night at our gorgeous venue Temperance - you'd better try and get there early for a prompt 7.30pm start!
As if that wasn't enough, why not stick around afterwards on the 31st and join our venue hosts and the gang for their late-night screening of the amazing Rocky Horror Picture Show on the Temperance big screens? Damn it, Janet! It finishes at midnight! Get your tickets from Temperance in person or on line! See you all there, and watch this space for even more exciting announcements coming soon!
