Acclaimed poet Paul Lyalls is well-known for his funny, fast-moving, hip and clever performances. Join Paul for an interactive workshop for the whole family. Using your wild imagination, create and perform your own poems on the theme of home. Suitable for age 5+.
Lyalls has gigged many unusual places, from Arsenal FC’s dressing room to a variety of shops in the N1 London Shopping Centre. He has performed alongside a wealth of artists including Will Self, Kate Tempest, Miranda Hart and John Cooper Clarke, and has run hundreds of workshops in secondary and primary schools, youth projects and prisons. As a performance poet and spoken word artist, his work has taken him to 10 Edinburgh Festivals along with many prestigious venues in cities as diverse as New York to Belfast. From 2013-14 Lyalls was Poet in Residence at the Roald Dahl Museum. His new children’s poetry collection A Funny Thing Happened – which has an introduction by Michael Rosen – features 52 brilliant poems aimed at anyone aged 5 – 105!
