Wirral Poetry Festival presents a poetry picnic on the Mersey Ferries!
This poetry picnic workshop begins with a River Explorer Cruise (11.30am sailing) to help develop ideas for poems about water and light. Throughout the 50-minute round-trip past the Mersey’s iconic waterfront there will be expert commentary about the fascinating history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We return to Woodside for lunch/refreshments and there will be time to draft initial thoughts and ideas for a poem (or two!).
You will be invited to submit completed poems to Wirral Poetry Festival ‘Water and Light’ and have the opportunity to read at the event on Sunday 12 May.
Hosted by Wirral poets Paul Harris and Paul Waring. Meet at Woodside Ferry Terminal. Bring along your picnic. Hot drinks will be available at Woodside.
Price: £10.50
Time: 11:00am (11.00 for 11.30 sailing)
