Jonathan Edwards:
Jonathan Edwards’s first collection, My Family and Other Superheroes (Seren, 2014), received the Costa Poetry Award and the Wales Book of the Year People’s Choice Award. It was shortlisted for the Fenton Aldeburgh First Collection Prize. His second collection, Gen, was published by Seren in 2018.
He has read his poems on BBC radio and television, recorded them for the Poetry Archive, and led workshops in schools, universities and prisons. He lives in Crosskeys, South Wales, and works as a teacher.
Zoë Brigley Thompson:
Zoë Brigley Thompson, originally from Maesteg, is Assistant Professor at Ohio State University.
She is a Bloodaxe poet and has three poetry collections to her name: The Secret (2007), Conquest (2012) and her most recent collection Hand & Skull (2019), which has already been awarded the Poetry Book Society Summer Recommendation for 2019
She also has a collection of nonfiction essays out in 2019: Notes from a Swing State. She won an Eric Gregory Award for the best British poets under 30, and was listed for the Dylan Thomas Prize for the best international writers under 35.
