Spoken Worlds started in 2009 as an opportunity for local writers to perform. It now attracts readers from a 50 mile radius, but it still has a friendly relaxed local feel.
Poetry, storytelling, book or blog extracts and even a very occasional song are all welcome. Performers decide their own running order and can perform up to once in each of the three halves (50% more than others offer, of course).
The Pickle Pot is a thriving cafe in the heart of Branston village, close to the A38 junction for Burton (south). Since we moved there we are beginning to pick up local spectators as well as the usual raft of performers. It helps that the cake is great and that they have a license.
Price: £3.00
Time: 7:30pm (Opens 30 min prior to start time)
