Wirral Poetry Festival brings another of its popular poetry picnics which combine a visit to a notable Wirral landmark and a time to write and share poetry.
Meet poet and university teacher Eleanor Rees for a glorious walk over Bidston Hill followed by time to write and share poetry under Eleanor’s guidance.
At 231 feet, Bidston Hill is one of the highest points in Wirral. It consists of 100 acres of heathland and woodland, and contains mysterious rock carvings and historic buildings, as well as being a remarkably varied ecosystem for wildlife amidst the nearby urban sprawl.
You may also enjoy a visit to Tam O’Shanter Urban Farm, beloved place for all Wirral’s children and equipped with a café selling food and hot drinks.
Meet at Tam O' Shanter. Bring your own picnic. Hot Drinks will be available. Tickets include the guided tour and hot drinks, Two free places are available for local residents (postcode CH43). Please email poetryfest@wirralpoetryfestival.org.uk to arrange.
