Wirral Poetry Festival presents an open mic with a difference, hosted by Kemal Houghton well known to regulars of Chester Poets, First Thursday and Vintage Radio Poetry Roundup.
We invite you to explore our relationship with one of the most popular and numerous domestic pets. Look forward to a mixture of humour, affection and admiration for cats. Before this open mic event, we will be exploring this theme at the Cat’s Got Your Tongue! interactive poetry and art exhibition at Birkenhead Central Library during September.
You are warmly invited to register to read at this special open mic event. Here are a few conditions!
Only Poems about cats, please
There’ll be no time for preambles – we just want to hear your poem!
Max reading time for each person is no more than 3 minutes Please book your reading slot in advance between 1 and 29 September. You can either register via email to Kemal Houghton, Or you can put your name down at the Cat’s Got Your Tongue! Exhibition at Birkenhead Central Library during September.

Time: 3:45pm (Doors open for a variety of poetry readings from 10am)
