Now it’s YOUR chance to get some MPK magic in 2021
Malika's Poetry Kitchen are running a series of seven online workshops, each led by a different member of the MPK family. Including emerging poets and big hitters, like our Forward-prize winning co-founder Malika Booker. Who could say no to that?
So that everyone can join in, we’ve created two ways to attend:
1) Premium, paid access to the Zoom for the full Kitchen experience – only 12 spaces!
2) Pay-what-you-feel access to a live stream on MPK’s YouTube channel
The first five sessions will help you generate new poems, the sixth will look at a technique for editing. The last one will be a feedback session on any poem you wish to share – maybe from one of the other workshops. It won’t be live-streamed, so you can relax and know you’re in a safe space.
There are still places in the Zoom for the feedback session on Mar 6th, the others are sold out but you can follow the live stream on YouTube. Info and booking links at https://malikaspoetrykitchen.com/msk/

Session 2: led by Naomi Woddis
Finding the poetic in solitude and isolation.
Writer and photographer Naomi Woddis will introduce you to photographers and painters who have explored unpeopled domestic interiors in their work. Using this as a starting point to enable both in-depth description and metaphor, we will work on creating poems from a new perspective.
Please bring a phone camera if you have one.
