Welcome to our Poetry Spa in Warwick city centre - enjoy an inspiring day with poet and singer-songwriter Katie Griffiths alongside former Poet Laureate of Birmingham, plus regular Poetry Spa host, Roz Goddard.
Receive a copy of The Attitudes by Katie Griffiths in the post as part of your ticket price and prepare for friendly discussion, absorption in poetry, a writing workshop and some lovely afternoon tea.
Start the day gently with a spell of reading. Join a small group of other bookish people to experience the benefits of concentrated reading in quiet, conducive surroundings at The Quaker Centre in beautiful Warwick (venue is 0.7 miles from Warwick Station).
Katie Griffiths will lead a writing workshop during the day's programme, suitable for all, from absolute beginners to regular writers, as a gentle introduction into writing. There will be no pressure to share.

10.00 - 12.00 Roz Goddard hosts a reading spa session with poetry aplenty, mindful reading, meditation and some discussion
12.00 - 1.00 Lunch: not included, but lots of options around the venue in Warwick, or bring your own.
1.00 - 3.00 Writing workshop with Katie Griffiths: designed for all
Constant Companion: Maybe it’s the fictional ‘twin’ you somehow got ‘separated’ from at birth. Perhaps it’s your wilder self. Maybe it’s the person you can’t shake from your mind. Or it could be an object that you simply can’t do without – or that keeps showing up in your life.
Using a variety of prompts to generate new writing, we’ll be addressing, celebrating (and perhaps liberating!) these ‘presences’ that we often carry around with us. The workshop is designed both for people who are at the start of their poetry-writing adventure as well as for those with more experience.

3.20 - 4.00 Roz hosts an in-conversation with Katie about her writing, with readings
