This workshop series offers a space for poets of all levels to connect, surprise themselves with new writing and share their work in a supportive environment.

We will explore a different theme each week, taking inspiration from a variety of media including photography, painting, architecture, articles and, of course, poetry! By the end of each session, everyone should leave with a new poem to develop further. There will also be an opportunity to share, perform and discuss our work over refreshments after the workshop.

Monday 06 February – Poetry and Obsession

How often do you find yourself writing about the same theme, place, object or person? This session encourages you to embrace and exaggerate pre-occupations and repetitions in your writing.

Whether it’s a colour, a flower, a food or a feeling, poets will pick a subject they are drawn to and develop this throughout the session, towards a series of mini-poems.
