Join us to celebrate AJ Akoto's phenomenal debut poetry collection Unmothered, which explores the space inhabited by undutiful daughters, who really need to be able to leave their mothers behind. Using myth, especially Medea, as a way to be able to say the unsayable - sometimes, your mother is the monster you need saving from.
A J will read from the book and there will be a Q&A with Meera Ghanshamdas, co-director of Round Table Books, as well as an opportunity to purchase a copy of the book and get it signed.
Part of our Independent Bookshop Week collaboration with Round Table Books.
Entry: free ticket via eventbrite
Time: 6:30pm (prompt start)
