Beehive Poets will be meeting at Josef K Café, (1-3 Little Horton Ln , Bradford, BD5 0AA) at 7:00PM on Monday 15th April.

This will consist of a reading from our guest, Peter Pegnall, and a read-around.

Peter has been teacher / lecturer at Coimbra, Leeds, Sussex and Ulster Universities and countless schools, prisons and care homes. He has eight Collections of poetry, from Lapwing, Blackwater, Hedgehog Presses and edited the anthology ' Pestilence', while he has also been co-translator of 'Earth on Fire': poems of Rene Noyau, Mauritian Surrealist Poet.

He has written obituaries for The Daily Telegraph and The Guardian and reviewed for The Independent, Poetry Ireland, The Catholic Herald, The London Magazine and many others.

He says, "If I were put on the spot, I'd say that the Heaney phrase 'The Music of What Happens' goes some way towards explaining my fascination with poetry. I'd also need to add that at school my love of the written and spoken word protected me and got me in trouble in equal measure. Nothing much has changed."

Time: 7:00pm (22.00 finish)
