I recently attended Glossop Open Mic at the Labour Club. I confess to being a literary and musical heathen, however I do go to many events and see many music and spoken word shows, and appreciate the offerings based on how engaged and entertained I am. I will not name any names of the artists, but will venture that they were ALL amazing. There was music, poetry and flash fiction proffered which combined to create one of the most entertaining and engaging nights I have ever been to. I have rarely laughed so much at the amusing parts, and felt so emotionally moved by the tales designed to create such a feeling. The host, Andy Millican, did an amazing job too.
