When You Smile

When you smile,
Minutes lose all of their seriousness,
Suddenly, it starts to run on your cheekbones
As kids who are wearing the cardigans of innocence
And they quit counting the flow of life,
While your lips edges are getting close to your dimples.

When you smile,
-Especially when your eyes come along with that smile-
And when the laughs open it's wings with all of it's prettiness
Word...

That's Enough

I don’t need applause

Or any kind of praise

I don’t need affirmations of love

Just a sign, that’s enough.

I don’t need platitudes

Or fake understanding.

I don’t need speeches

Just a word, that’s enough.

I don’t need your tears

I’ve got tears of my own

And I don’t need your anger,

Just advice, that’s enough.

I don’t need your sorrows,

I’ve ...

immatured hearts can not seperate love from simple infatution, nor understand the damage such lack of experience can create in ones life. it is motivated by ego & blinded by its need for attention.

Love and Lies

Another one from the past, circa 2000.  Definatly a bit teenage angst-y, and funnily i can't remeber who this was written about now.  They must have been important at the time though!

The feeling in my chest,

Is one I’ve felt before.

All so easy to notice,

Not so easy to ignore.

It tightens up your breathing,

Chills the veins into your heart,

Was that my soul just leaving?

What My Heart Consists Of:

If you asked

what my heart

consisted

of.

I would say;

half is pain.

Other half?

Love.

If you said

love was dead,

valueless

time.

Clear your head,

break the shell.

Reveal your

mind.

It's called pain,

caused by words.

Dismantles

soul.

Cant blame it,

bred to kill.

Grimmest of

goals.

Sad but true,

both the halves

Wax-Covered Communication

I tried to save you from the world,
but I was too slow.
I tried to put up walls for you.
In places you didn't even know.
But now I'm sitting by myself,
while you're out there on your own.
Wax-covered communication.
On the telephone.

I tried to save the world from you.
The light says to go.
I hope you crash into the wall,
that I built to help you grow.
I am surrounded by my boys.

Trust is an illusion

Trust is an illusion. A systematically flawed word. A total forgery of a statement. Trust assumes infallibility - without errors, mistakes or fuck ups. How do we trust others when we can't even trust ourselves .. If the potential gain outweighs the potential risk we're likely to oblige. Whether the repercussions be momentary or long standing, we're going to indulge in whatever we feel is beneficia...

A Message of Hope

               A Message of Hope

This is a message of hope, of peace, of justice

Of the pieces of me that are not taken

Not trapped, Not tapped of sourceful energy.

And the resources of friendship and kindness and love

Of the part of me that is alive and breathing and being.

With Nature and trees and sun

With butterflies and hummingbirds and eyes open

Watching the glow of...

A little bit of her own

Yes he has hurt her

Silence will confess mutely

Whining within, it will moan

For its, little bit of her own

“Unchecked and not-replied texts”

She educated them on his habits

Wiped briny drops; wouldn’t be shown

Restive is little bit of her own

Deafened soul recalls the flashes

Of their frolicking oneness

Zipped them; faking smiles put on

Fidgeting with l...
