Completely New

It’s usually said

sometime with dread

when excited there’s no head

and that’s very true

the brain often flew

wanting something new

can’t stay still very long

I’m up and quickly gone

feeling wonderfully strong

I’m a child of eight

who wont stop even at a gate

for this is going to be GREAT!!

and should you be able to stay

lots of fun co...

Requiem

Under the moon's silver glow,
I could forget everything and live in this moment forever,
tugs on the heartstring like a beautiful voice in song,
words are the dreams the heart makes,
all now of the dream I have is a requiem.

The Mystery of Night

They say the night has a thousand Eyes,
It's beauty no one denies,
The nocturnal passing is cool and crisp,
The mind creates ghosts from a single wisp,
No man knows night truly,
Man knows it comes by dark and cooly,
It has a feeling of enchantment,
Beholders are usually lost in the moment,
The glazed eye that is the moon comes ever slowly,
In the dark speckled sky, people watch them longi...

a walk at robert frosts old farm

a walk at Robert Frost’ old farm

heavy snow was falling

as I walked the New Hampshire

woods of Robert Frost’ old farm

I had been here before

in the fall when

the leaves were splashes

of color hanging on the branches

now the leaves were gone

the snow was resting

where the leaves had been

in the distance I

caught a glimpse of movement

Local Bards Get Festive With A Mersey Christmas

A brand new anthology of Christmas poems has been launched as a Facebook project.

Would you consider

If your minds eye was open,

Would you consider an unabashed divulgance?

Your forthright nature checks my exubernace

Your beauty makes me timourous

I suppress my passion in fear of your answer

Do i dare wonder about consequence?

You make me feel alive, there is no other, there is no level i can gratify

I would be yours, if not for the latitude of convention.

You bring me joy

The captivation of the impasse

Can the difference in our souls be overcome?

The asterism of our fates cannot so opaque.

It is ironic that what we both seek can be defined in a chronograph of sand.

You have so far to travel and yet your peace is already found

I long to tell you of the falsehood of my pretences

To unlock the anacucis of your affections to me would more beautiful than a strand of your auburn locks

Freckled Shoulders

The red dust of Mars settles on my heart,

only her will can stop the thrashing of cymbals that call me to her.

Every cascade of flaxen strength undermines the facade of purity

but the tilt of her smile will resound everpresent.

Ablazen are her cobalt eyes, I draw strength from their tranquility

she could not know the foundation she raises the pyre of my love,

the freckled shoulde...

poet's dilemma

poet's dilemma

staring at a white sheet of paper

can be frightening to a writer

or it can bring joy

that is if the words start to flow

okay, I am staring

where are the words

fingers long to write

come on words

materialize
