Hides all that she distaste

A Poem About Hatred
We cannot end the nightmare
only explain it.
Cruelty permeates benath the societal fabric,
Festering,
As it rises to the top like curdled cream.
It oozezs through
and overtakes the unsuspecting.
Spreading from host to host like a cruel fungus.
Twisting and morphing.
Until we succumb to the sweet vitriol.

of rejection
washing me up onto the shore
covering me in seaweed

Rejection blankets me
in teary eyes
tugs at my heart

Upon Hearing of an ICE Raid: we want the country back
We want the country back.
America feels like a cornered rat
trembling savage
desperation spilling
like rabid light
from frightened eyes
gone flight now only fight
time stopped
avenues of escape blocked
so
desperation becoming bullets
fear becoming cages
heat waves of hatred
trapped in terror
paralyzed in pain
