Android poetry reading
Has anyone else run across Data's 'Ode to Spot' ?

Data is an android who is an officer aboard the USS Enterprise in the Star Trek The New Generation series. He has a pet cat called Spot. He regularly attempts human activities, in this case writing and performing poetry.
Data has no emotions - perhaps why the poem is so bad (or is it?). Later in the episode he pushes another crew member for feedback, and encounters reluctance because of a desire not to hurt his (non-existent) feelings. If only all poets were similarly thick skinned.
Like much in TNG this little excursion into the world of poetry is thoughtful, well done and gently humorous. I especially enjoyed Will Riker's snoozing. How many of us can relate to that from some open mic evenings?
