changing photos etc
I've noticed recently that we can't always manage to change the photos we use to go with out poems on bloggs. David Cooke had accidentally put a photo of Nina Simone (I think twas her) on his poem about red kites and Nina ain't no red kite. I said to him "why don't you change it" and he said he couldn't. I told him he was being a wuss (not really!) and that I'd show him how easy it was by changing a photo on one of my blogs - but smartypants me couldn't do it either. I know we used to be able to do it - waz happend?

When I look at the Edit version of David's poem - which being an admin sort of person, I'm allowed to do - I see the correct picture. I've had this problem myself in trying to replace images. The new picture doesn't show up on my computer at home, but does on my Mac at work. I can't see a picture of Nina Simone, though. I don't suppose that helps much.

My guess (but just a guess) as to what's happening is that WOL changes the picture but not the address of the picture. That will mean that your computer caches the old picture and doesn't know it's changed.
If you do a full refresh (which usually involves holding down Shift and clicking the refresh button) it should fetch the picture again. Does that make sense?

Presumably your computer's cache timed out. Pictures can only live in there for a certain amount of time before they fade away and have to be re-fetched. So waiting for a while will have a similar effect to doing a full refresh.

Hey - not only are we striving to be
known to our fellows, we are having
the same problem with our computers!

I'd like to change my image but I can't. Do they do swaps, not just of picture but of body? If yes please send me one of a fit adonis, preferable of the same skin colour as 'her indoors' is fussy. Ta in advance to the techies.
