Faces

I looked for my usual face and I could only find this ugly bastard.

I'd love to know what was causing that look of surprise Malpoet...

I never had any objection to the silly faces. It is easier to scroll down and find a particular comment now - if you are trying to reread something - particularly on discussions that have 120 comments on them. But is that a good thing?

yes i think its a good thing , if you have an icon that is associated with you , and chosen by you it may help people only to write what they would actually say to someone face to face in a public place ......... instead of suffering from forum fever :)

You know what Carole?
I hadn't thought of the change in faces quite the way you describe but i do like the theory behind your written words.
A verbal disagreement in writing can appear offensive to the readers and the person/s it is directed at.
The same words are often used with more respect and thoughtfulness when spoken directly.

I think whoever had this brainwave for the change in faces is a genius. I suppose i should really have a true image of myself on my profile pic now but my computer seems to object to anything i want to upload to the wol site. Ah well, such is life!

Janet.
