Just recovering from the imploding acoustic festival in the lakes-it was great to see and hear local and new faces reading out and performing their stuff! There were also shocks and unsolved mysteries such as the unexplainable disfigurment of Kenny!Loved the psychedelic music,the veggy food and the time spent with write out loud pals-Suzy,Isobel,Joy and others!I am aching all over,and have just had my first wash since friday,but have also been stimulated mentally and have spent most of the weekend laughing and chatting.Thanks to Baz and Louise for organising it all!Can't wait to see the leaf poem unveiled!

Would echo all that you said John - you just can't beat the lakes, if you can also get the weather. Team all that up with loads of lovely friends you have oodles in common with and you're in heaven...
Lotsa booze, lotsa music and poetry, lotsa dancing, losta laughter - what a perfect weekend. The site was a tad basic but it taught me to appreciate the bliss of hot water on tap... Let's do it all again next year! xx

i had such an amazing time! loved hearing the poets i'd never seen. loved having loads of cool people about from the poetry and further afield. great opportunity to have our work heard by new audiences. the music and the wood was beautiful and fabulous.

next year- more organised poetry workshop stuff- my best laid plans were flung out the window with unexpected arrival of two small children. felt a bit mean at the tiny thing we did. and will sort out more open mic coz that was really fun. one person commented favourably about your dolls poem. and another person was bigging christine up. i thought it was a quality open mic. and i can't wait for next year!

I agree Isobel!The only thing was,it went too quickly and now it's back to normality again!

Never mind,good memories,especially of you,Suzy and Christine bopping! Haha!
