Marsden
Just to give a vote of thanks to Julian for organizing and compering the second Marsden Jazz open-mic.
As last year, the variety in style and experience, is perhaps what made it so enjoyable. Even those folk who had wandered in to the pub, purely for a lunch-time drink, seemed to enjoy what the were hearing.
Photo's were taken by ?? Don't know if they will be posted

Ah, ammend that. Unfortunately Joy is no longer with galleries due to technical probs but I could put them up for this event or any other, just don't send too many :-)

The Marsden jazz festival is great, even in the wind and rain. It's a lovely village, friendly people, great charity shops where you can buy vintage stuff for peanuts.
The WOL venue on the Sunday finishes it off nicely. A different crowd of people, all just having a go. My favourite part - Julian's young grand daughter who finished with a really cute poem - she stole the show!
My sis took some piccies Winston - I'll get her to send you some. Don't have any of the little girl though - what a pity!
