You can now message people direct from profiles. It was finished and went live late last night and a few seconds later a newly-registered user used the messaging, so probably did not even know that it did not previously exist.

I have put a ticket up to get a clarification that it is the user on the profile who will receive the message, via email.

I think this function would be very useful if we were running a WOLOP type of poetry competition. Though to be honest with you, few of the poets who took part in those were inclined to vote. People just seemed to enjoy reading and taking part in a themed poetry exercise - winning wasn't the bee all and end all.

For the moment I'm not using it terrificly cos most people who would email me,have my email address. It may be a useful tool in the future though.
