Recently I've discovered a poet called Mr. Gee who was Russel Brand's 'Laureate'...not that it makes a difference, but having placed him on my site (which I won't advertise for fear of a ticking off by admin like last time) and having watched a few youtube vids and some sound files he's really very good.

Has anyone else come across this guy or is his agent just giving me a load of rubbish and 'bigging-up' this guy's reputation?

Yes, he's a good, solid performer. We use him a bit at Apples & Snakes. A charismatic compere too (he's the host of Radio 4's Bespoken Word show). He's quite established in London, but I know for a fact that he's keen to get known elsewhere, if you fancy finding him a NW gig!

Well I know that the guy who I've been speaking to (his agent) is from the wirral or at least has spent some time here. Also as my site has a wide visitorship in the NW, it's a start. I make a point of keeping myself apprised of apple and snakes events (not that I've yet got round to one) and can't remember his name popping up, but thanks for the tip.
