Biography

My name is Connor Patrick Barry. I live here, and I live there. Yet I don’t feel like I belong anywhere. I move forward, write down my thoughts and express them anyway I can. Where my life will lead me, what direction I may go... I don’t know. I was born in California, the sunshine state, the place where happiness grows, but somehow I built disdain. So I moved to NYC when I was 20, thought it would be of great change. Lived there on and off for 9 years, almost 10. A decade of peer pressure, a decade of feeling estranged. So much commotion, so much so, it grew into pain. Later on I decided stayed with my parents in South Carolina, thinking I’d find peace and a place to stay. But every family has their problems and they’ll never be escaped. My family life hasn’t been easy, living with narcissists could be a test. I’ve contemplated love, and felt hate in my chest. I am almost 30 now and have returned to the New York State. Wondering why I chose to do so, maybe because it’s a place to reinvent. But every second I walk these streets I wonder why I’m not happy nor even close to content.
