Biography
Hey I'm Erin and writing poetry is not only one of my favorite things to do, but has helped me cope with my inner struggles and things around me.

Womxn Of The Sun I once wanted to scrub the color our of my skin. The pigment my indigenous ancestors passed down to me from generation to generation. I once wanted to bleach my hair and longed for the day where I could finally get a nose job. Anything to erase the features that connected to my people. I once wanted all these things, but now I realize my skin is as rich in color as the fertile soil of the homeland. My hair does not need to be bleached for it is perfect just the way it is. My nose is art crafted by the ones who came before me. I am art. I am a womxn of the sun.

My wish for this world is that everyone appreciates how unique and special they are and not want to change to some magazine idea of who they must be. You are beautiful!
Love your introduction and declaration - more should hear.
