Biography
I have no idea how it should be done as I started skipping school a fortnight after the lesson on Capital letters and full stops.. apart from the odd rhyming best mans speech My sample of work below is my first real attempt
Samples
Feel the fury Its a full-blooded slagfight Unfounded with much spite An alt truth attested Cause the bitch needs arrested! She commits no offence She’s allowed no defence As she’s feeling the fury Of a Facebook Grand Jury He lives on The Grange His demeanour so strange He swims in tight speedos His kind are all pedos! He commits no offence He’s allowed no defence As he’s feeling the fury Of a Facebook Grand Jury! They cant see the humour In the unfounded rumour That called them all hags Old trollops and slags! They commit no offence They are allowed no defence As their feeling the fury Of a Facebook Grand Jury! Self appointed and righteous They convict the licentious Dispensing derision To fit their perfect vision! They cause much offence They can have no defence With their hatred and fury That Facebook Grand Jury!

love the bio Frank - I lasted a little while longer but dropped out of education after a month of 'A' Levels - uninspired teaching and what we would probably label a failing school nowadays but I guess a lot of it was me wanting to go my own way and do my own thing because at the time I knew better of course! Sadly I see the same failings in our schools 35 years on as my own teenage boys go through the system - take a look at this week's Poem of the Week for similar thoughts.
There are lots of talented writers here on WoL covering different themes and styles so if you want to learn this is the place to be. Read read read and have fun with words. There are no rules but one tip I would offer is to not get too hung up on the rhymes - there is more to poetry than end of line rhyming although it definitely has a place. Good luck Frank.
All the best
Colin
