Biography

Frank Pasciuti is presently a retired clinical psychologist who worked for 45 years helping others as a psychotherapist. He is married with 3 children and 5 grandchildren, and resides in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he maintained a private practice since 1981. Frank Has gathered 50 poems that he constructed around therapy themes and recently published them in a book entitled: Can I Be Frank? Poetic Insights that Empower and Inspire. More specifically, the poems are built around metaphors and analogies that capture the essence of what many of his clients struggled with in therapy. Reading them may strike a chord for those who struggle with similar issues, and in that way can serve as a form of self-help poetry.

Feeling On My Feet

You ask me how I'm feeling now I think as I delay. I'm just plain stumped, and don't know how I feel or what to say You claim that knowing feelings can guide me when I need, a compass which can point out paths where thinking might not lead You say with work I could get clear and someday, in a beat, when asked my feelings quickly share what I feel on my feet.

"Can I Be Frank" is a great title. I have always looked at poetry as good therapy, partly because it helps you search out the truth, and truth is healing.
