My name is Marla. I love to read and write poetry that is soulful, simple, honest and true. I also love to encourage others to write poetry from the heart. Even though I write with the intent that it is "for my eyes only," it is nice to be able to share with like minded people. I have read through a lot of the poetry blogs and profiles here and I like what I see. I am excited about being able to participate.

Shadows And Light

Shadows And Light My life, a flickering candle A flame through the dark of night... In a stand upon a mantle Casting shadows and light. Will a glow or glimmer remain When this light is no more? Or will everything remain the same As it has always been before?
