Genes

I have a pair of jeans

That fits just right.

To remind me that I'm still cool.

But another pair I have

Makes me feel like a fool.

The same is with the genes I have

That are a part of me.

Some are too loose.

Some are too tight.

Some fit me to a tee.

The last line, with its rhyme, concludes this poem perfectly, Marla. Like a package tied with a perfect bow, it fits the verse exactly.
Thanks for this.

I find that I grow into my jeans. And genes!
