Biography

Hello my name is Melinda and I've been writing for most of life. It's always been something I come back to, something that soothes my soul when I write. Its the most incredibly cathartic thing I've ever done. Most of my pieces are about an array of things, life experience and others. Hopefully you all find them relatable.

HOPE It showed up as I walked away, Self-assured it sat effortlessly at my feet, Unpredictably I was caught, My beliefs lovingly challenged, Trapped by my own limitations, Truth hidden beyond my cage of thoughts, A spark of infinite possibilities, Encouraged to dig deeper, breathe deeper, It showed up as I walked away, HOPE. Present From the eaves translucent droplets glisten, lights of twinkling pearls, Secretly I am caught fleetingly breathless, The burdening stillness of a questioning moment I am held, Ruminating over what has gone, yet reminded of what is here, Peace, that shelters me beyond incredulous moments, Sealed in a soundless gaze, it’s only here do I truly breathe, Forever present, the translucent droplets glisten imparting a soothing hope.
