BETRAYAL The house was dark and silent as he sprinted through the grounds. His entrance was familiar, he whistled to the hounds. The direction he was going was planned and thought about, To wait for the traitor he thought still loved him without doubt. Her unexpected entry surprised him at his task. He turned around and grabbed her, and her fingers caught his mask. Her face displayed expressions of terror and surprise As she recognised the intruder now without disguise. The screaming of his victim helped to deaden his pain, As he stabbed her with the knife, again and again. Until she was silent, lying so still, He surveyed the body, like a lion his kill. With sticky hands all covered in blood He gripped his clothes, and to voice the flood Of emotion, his anguished roar Escaped through his chest as he stumbled through the door.
