Old Age The inevitable evening is the final sin. The master is gone, the beggar is in. The show over, the puppet is alone. The stage’s deserted, crowds are gone. Painful music the temples heats, That is how life you and me cheats. For mercy bleats the innocent sheep. The sea is silent, mountains don’t weep. Every moment passes in infinite wait, Now read history on a wrinkled slate. Seek meaning in a feigned smile. Dead hopes and dreams make a pile. Impotent storms frighten no more. Peeling the fruit, I reached the core. Life was nothing but a malignant sore, Rootless, shameless and a funny whore. MS V 12.4.14, 7.40 pm
