Scales They say that girl is poison Yes, my skin is filled with poison But honey my lover spits venom He has no arms to wrap me in So I find myself cuddled up in his dead skin Especially on those cold nights He’s cold blooded But I still follow his remains to see the new him I fell in love with a serpent He lets go of the old him and I fall in love again He doesn’t speak wallmark cards or poetic thoughts But he slithers around me like I’m his prey And that’s how I measure his love Each time he wraps around me he admires my beauty Each time he wraps around me It gets tighter and tighter til I can not breath I’m suffocated in his new skin We call this a daily ritual I fell in love with a serpent so death is more than just an idea Death is a game we play till I tap out But I scale this snake right And he hates that I know him So he cheats and he bites This didn’t happen over night Like most relationships I’ve had I’ve mutated myself to repel the venom he has And we just laugh Because this love thing is all a game A game of predator and prey A game of cat and mouse Except he’s a snake and I’m everything else Our love is a death game only we understand He’s my serpent and I’m his first woman He calls me Eve And he knows that if he ever leaves I’ll just follow his dead skin To play once again - Your Boyfriend's Sub

Welcome to WOL. You have made a good decision not to post too many poems all at once. We are a diverse 'bunch' but generally open-minded and supportive.
