Information

The Octagon Theatre Bolton is one of the North West’s most intimate and exciting theatres and has been producing nationally renowned work for more than forty years. We have a number of 'BoltON' events that take place throughout the year as well as our main productions. These events include: Poetry and Prose which involves a prestigious collection of writers and poets, from nationally and internationally acclaimed authors to up and coming local talent, read from their own work in this ever popular programme of events. We also organise a selection of Poetry on a Plate sessions that involves classic poets at lunchtime which are inspired by our Main Auditorium season of plays. Enjoy a spot of lunch before hearing members of the Octagon Theatre Company read a wonderful range of prose and poetry from some of the greatest poets of all time: from William Blake to Ted Hughes.
