Lonely tonight

I'm aching to feel the heel of my hand

held hard up against the bend in your spine,

pushing your pivotal skeletal strand

til your groin meets the vibrant heat of mine.

My insistent hips claim ownership,

my firm palm presses your sensitive nape

coaxes an involuntary gasp from your lips,

moulding your chest to my breasts gentle shape

Each finger engulfed in that soft shorn hair,

That resistant skull succumbs to my touch

and mouth and tongue greedly gulp your air

inhaling your breathing, longing too much.

I lift the lids of my fearless blue eyes

challenging yours to meet my conviction

urgently seeking to see your surprise,

needing reflection of unsanctioned passion.

My thirst for you a dangerous torture

To drink and never satisfy the desire

Of a compelling cry for what I abhor

My soul in crisis my body on fire

Funnily I find the last four lines most incongruous; whimsical which may not really follow the rest. Added to the fact I think I have a great line about gluteus maximus to add ... and a wish for far more hands!

I think I get it, the clue is in the title isn't it. These are imaginings of a time gone by perhaps. Unlike Adam's comments I think the last four lines are the most poignant to the piece.

Very passionate Alison, liked this...ironically with all these pasionate lines my fave was 'I lift the lids of my fearless blue eyes' not sure why. simple language and aneasily imagined image maybe? Win

This is really good - a strong sense of physicality which grounds the intense longing in the poem. I would lose the last four lines, though - I think 'needing reflection of unsanctioned passion' is a great line to end on.
