Locked Down Locked Out

Its a pain in the neck and no mistake

Locked down, our busy lives on hold

But what of the billions less wealthy

Forever locked out in the cold?

Locked down or locked out

Are two very different fates

We blandly wait for a vaccine

To benefit our richer states

In Africa the virus is poverty

Immune to vaccines and drugs

Kids locked down all their lives

Regardless of pandemics and bugs

Western leaders pose and dither

Focus groups and re-election their goals

While children starve in Mozambique

Bony frames dropped in unmarked holes

As you sit at home twiddling your thumbs

Well fed and streaming box sets on your tellies

Remember the lot of those locked out

No vaccine will put food in their bellies

It's a bold topic and subject to much diverse opinion, some of it, perhaps, not always well informed. Population control has such a bad reputation, and yet, surely, precise efforts, locally and globally, must be considered.

And not an indiscriminate world pandemic! The World Internet can be a shockingly horrible space for some 'platforms'.

With numerous organisations showing advertisements on TV that
request money for helping those in distant lands, it should be noted
that the medications & the souls at work promoting health in the
less fortunate countries emanate from the lands whose peoples took
their own lives in their hands in the investigation and testing of most
of what is currently available in food, medicine and medical alleviation/cures in the world today. One can only think how much
worse it would be without this dedicated intelligence at work. . .

This is stark reality although we know but nothing we do except feeling thankful for blessings.
May God make it easy for downtrodden and underprivileged people in the world...ameen
