I LOVE YOU TODAY - an old love song revised/reprised

Lucky it's me

So glad it's you

Enchantment in all

Of the things that we do

My feelings are many

My words but a few

Remember - I love you today

Maybe we could

Maybe we would

Always be tender

It's good that we should

When love comes so rarely

It's misunderstood

Remember - I love you today

The smile that I know

The way you say hello

The thrill that I get

When we kiss

The ache in my heart

That begins when we part

All the things about you that I miss

Sometimes it's joy

Sometimes it's pain

Always the sun

Shining after the rain

And always I'll tell you

Again and again

Remember - I love you today

Thanks for your comment, Hannah. Love, in all its variety, can only
help to make us feel better about ourselves. At least, I like to think so
in my old-fashioned way.
