Multitasking

multitasking

building my tomb

brick at a time

swimming to you

in the moonlight

against an enemy

well-fortified

making love

to the spy tonight

plotting a decade

of my rule

driving a truck

out of driving school

eating ice cream

working out

supporting the fascists

plotting my downfall

they ask me if

I can multitask

typing with both hands

I smile, “I can’t”

they offer me half upfront

half at the end

more than three-fourths

never finis
