ABSURD IS THE WORD!

Anyone with an interest in the American Civil War

Who fought where and when, and what for...

Will know of the Massachusetts Fifty Fourth

A regiment that fought and showed its worth.

Strange that BBC online made no mention -

In the circumstances a very curious abstention -

Of the BLM daubing of its famous US memorial!

My thoughts on that are inquisitorial..

Just what was it that saw that lack

When The 54th was famously black?

..................................................................................

Of the BLM daubing of its US Memorial

There was a WW2 Black American air pilot wing as well I seem to remember MC, as I am sure other US Black military units too. The isolationist impact of Novo thwarts rationalism in some, although I am horrified with what happened with Police actions recently in the USA. Unforgivable.

The Oscar winning film "Glory" gave the world the story of how the
regiment and its colonel Robert Gould-Shaw found their place in
American history. The disfigurement of their Boston memorial (used
as the background for the film's title sequence) was utterly grotesque. ???
