The tears today that from your eyes flow
are not the same as yesterday

Today the rain that falls is fresh
It falls to wash away the pain

You have tasted kindness unexpected
Overwhelmed  as you learn all is not lost
Someone touched you with compassion 
Offered their warmth that fills your heart

which flow as you smile 
with joy and hope
as the rainbow archs your soul
