the star studded glory
of a mini gun,
Its muzzle blazes,
Frozen in 35mm slide, the war photographer,
He asked my dad,
not to look directly at the camera,
but continue as though he were fighting.

Hard to tell what’s really real
Even in war.
Electronic alienation these days
