Dawn
Whisper a wish to waking skies that they might know your hearts desire,
Praise the rising of the Sun but don’t gaze upon that ball of fire,
For though it shines down on the Earth and drives away the still of night,
It’s incandescent heart would scorch the eyes of men, it burns so bright,
Let its warmth anoint your weary soul and give you strength to stand,
As it casts its light down on the stillness of this frostbit land,
It’s a cold hard world that welcomes in the dawning Sun,
And a bold heart burns within its breast and shines down upon everyone,
And no distinction does it make on those who feel its warming rays,
It is the banisher of night and harbinger of coming days,
And as its light reveals the rippled fields of green and Oceans blue,
Pray it gives you strength enough to make your whispered wish come true.

Thanks Keith, and thank you Jennifer, I do like a bit of inspiration and optimism.
Night always gives way to day as day does to night.
