I love those cute little meerkats

the ones you see in adverts on tv

I love the way they move and talk

they are so funny and amuse me

 

In real life meerkats can not talk

and do not wear jackets and glasses

Meerkats live in rocky, African plains

amongst the shrubs and wild grasses

 

Meerkats have brown bushy fur

pointed faces with large patched eyes

Stand on guard on their hind legs

watching for predators in the skies

 

Meerkats use their snouts to hunt prey

and have a taste for fruit and plants

They also like to sniff out meaty treats

like termites, spiders, beetles and ants

 

Meerkats live together in large packs

in sandy deserts they can be found

Only venturing out in the daytime

living in burrows deep underground

 

I love those cute little meerkats

the ones you see in adverts on tv

Now I prefer to see real meerkats

they are much more entertaining to me
