Irreplaceable
Yesterday I had a moment that made me remember
Today I thought about how much I really do miss her
Always there to greet me at the front door without fail
So pleased to be reunited, happily wagging her tail
When she was young we would walk for hours a day
In the garden with us all, she loved to tease and play
If there is an afterlife then I would come back as she
She lived a good life, was loved and lived care free
She was my constant companion for fourteen years
When I had to say goodbye, I shed a million tears
Yesterday I thought maybe I could try to replace her
Today I treasure the memories of how we once were
