A kiss can't be a kiss

A sigh can't be a sigh

The government rules apply

Here's why - so we get by

 

It's now a brand new story

In this land of hope and glory

A case of do or die

So we do our level best to comply

As time goes by

 

Contact and caring never out of date

Keep your mobile handy -

I'll try not to be late

If i can't be there in person

Then a phone call can be great -

To keep in touch they cry.

 

And when there's more than two

We can still say I love you

On Skype and Zoom you can rely

Though government rules may still apply
