How rain revives

the stifled plants 

those looking bleak

with leaves turned brown

going into fall

 

now after a gentle rain

they return to life once more

they glisten in the sun

and almost smile with happiness

 

with second blooms

growing green and lush

they perk up again

in the aftermath of rain

 

like ourselves

refreshed after a morning shower

plant and man

blessed by the cleansing wash

of rain.
