I miss its classic shape

I used to drive a truck around town,

It's black steering wheel had a smooth rubber coating.

The wheel was wide and yet felt thin in the hands,

I was a proud owner, at times even gloating.

Like many old things I had to give it up,

but it was not wear and tear that caused me to do it.

It was the break in the lines of the road that I crossed,

took myself into an oncoming car and I blew it.
