October 2020 Collage Poem – Blue Guitar
Scribbles for reality spill out of her baggage
We’re heading for the rocks, sirens the Lighthouse -
Flashing black and white
Trump woke at the top of Mumbles Lighthouse to hear
Alan Minter - I've been waiting for you....
Plug me in you know you want to
Carrying our dreams across oceans telling each other so
The music was broken that day, in Morecambe,
As the pianist lay in her death bed and another hammer fell.
Another billionaire buys a Morandi, so they can stare
at poverty oiled on their wall.
Carrying the pieces of my broken piano
I told you so
A piano a painting a poem and a boxer
Tears on a bad day at the checkout
Orpheus shuffles through valleys of rust.
Jewelled eyes, windows to love on Tulip Way
Elvis Lives and he’s nearly 90
A pepperoni with chorizo please
Riding the river of your dreams as it spills out
Of your bag like broken piano pieces lost in time.

The Blue Grim but Good Band
Poetry we sing
madness mixed in
somewhat crazy lyrics
but in this
Collage magical song
disguised so well.
